Date Calculator
Add or subtract days, weeks, months or years from any calendar date.
How this calculator works
Choose a starting date, a whole-number amount, a calendar unit (days, weeks, months or years) and a direction. Every step advances or reverses the date regardless of daylight-saving changes.
Calendar months and years preserve the day of month when possible. When the target month is too short — for example adding one month to 31 January — the result moves to that month's final valid day instead of overflowing into the next month.
The tool is arithmetic only. Where legal, payroll, holiday, timezone or jurisdiction-specific rules matter, the page states what is and is not included.
Frequently asked questions
Does it skip weekends?
No. This tool always shifts by calendar days, weeks, months or years — it never excludes weekends. Use the Business Days Calculator to exclude Saturdays and Sundays, or the Workday Calculator for a working-day-only offset.
Can I add weeks, months or years instead of days?
Yes. Choose Days, Weeks, Months or Years from the Calendar unit control. Month and year offsets preserve the day of month when possible, moving to the target month's final valid day when it doesn't have that many days.
Can this exclude weekends or holidays, or adjust to the nearest working day?
No — this page performs plain calendar-date math, with no exclusions. Use the Workday Calculator for working-day-only offsets, custom holiday exclusions and a previous/next-working-day adjustment.
