How this calculator works
Your local time is shown first as soon as the page loads. Add cities from the list to compare their current time, date and UTC offset alongside it, all updating live.
Each added city shows whether its date is a day ahead, a day behind, or the same as your local date right now — the comparison that matters when you're checking whether it's a reasonable hour somewhere else.
Daylight saving time is handled by your browser's own built-in time zone data, not a manually maintained offset table, so each city's time and offset already reflect whether that zone is currently observing DST.
Fullscreen mode enlarges every added city into a room-readable grid: shared screens, offices and calls. It uses your browser's fullscreen feature where available; if that isn't supported, the large-display view still works without going edge-to-edge.
Nothing is saved. Reloading the page resets any cities you added or removed back to the starting set shown alongside your local time — it doesn't drop to local time alone.
The tool is arithmetic only. Where legal, payroll, holiday, timezone or jurisdiction-specific rules matter, the page states what is and is not included.
Frequently asked questions
Does this account for daylight saving time automatically?
Yes, for any zone currently observing it — the time and UTC offset shown come from your browser's own built-in time zone data, not a fixed table, so it already reflects whether a given city is in daylight or standard time right now.
Is this a time zone converter?
Not exactly, though a dedicated Time Zone Converter is available if that's what you need. World Clock shows the current time in each city side by side, updating live, rather than converting a specific date and time you enter from one zone into another.
Will my list of cities be saved if I reload the page?
No. Nothing is stored — reloading the page resets your changes back to the default cities shown alongside your local time, not just local time on its own.
Can I remove or reorder the cities I've added?
Yes. Each added city has Move up, Move down and Remove controls. Your own local time always stays first and can't be removed or reordered, since it's the reference point the day-ahead/day-behind labels are compared against.
What if my browser doesn't support real fullscreen?
The large-display view still works without it — the clocks just won't extend edge-to-edge the way they do with native fullscreen. A note appears on screen when this happens.
How accurate is the displayed time?
It's read from your own device's clock and time zone data. If your device's clock or time zone setting is wrong, the times shown here will be wrong in the same way.
