Days From Today Calculator
Find the calendar date a chosen number of days from today, or from any reference date you pick.
How this calculator works
This calculator projects forward from today — or any reference date you set — by the number of days you enter, for planning a deadline, renewal, or event ahead of time. For example, 45 days from a reference date of 2026-01-01 lands on 2026-02-15.
Beyond the headline date, the page breaks the gap into full weeks and remaining days, converts it to total hours, names the resulting weekday and ISO date, and lays out both months in a calendar view — so a forward projection like that one is as easy to drop into a shared calendar as it is to read at a glance.
The address bar updates to a shareable link as you adjust the reference date or day count, so you can send a colleague the exact future date a milestone lands on without asking them to redo the count — the link itself isn't a separate page and never appears in the sitemap.
The tool is arithmetic only. Where legal, payroll, holiday, timezone or jurisdiction-specific rules matter, the page states what is and is not included.
Frequently asked questions
Does this count today as day one?
No. Adding one day returns tomorrow. That is conventional elapsed-date arithmetic.
Can I project from a date other than today?
Yes — replace the reference date with any starting point, such as a project kickoff date, and the day count still measures forward from whatever date you set. "Use today" snaps it back to today in one click.
Can I save this future date for later?
Yes — "Download calendar file (.ics)" adds the projected date directly to your calendar app so you do not have to recount it later, and "Copy result" copies a text summary plus a shareable link. Nothing is stored on our side either way.
